RB 2pc Rotors (380x34) for Ford Explorer ST Front Retrofit to Jeep SRT8 2012+ (WK2) 6 Pot Calipers (Not Included in Price)

This retrofit rotor kit is exclusively made by RB allows Explorer ST (2020+) owners whether you have base or sports models to upgrade your front brake (floating calipers) to Jeep SRT8 WK2 (2012+) 6 pot caliper w/380x34mm rotor.

 

 

1. Due to SRT8 Brembo calipers have wider body than stock floating calipers, depending on your wheel configuration you may need to add a 3mm wheel spacer for stock 19" wheels to clear the caliper axially, if you have larger wheels or other aftermarket 19" you may not need it.

 

2. Banjo bolt connection retrofit procedures:

B. Remove WK2 caliper banjo position block (flange) - Same idea as Explorer's hook to secure the banjo bolt from rotation but in reality they are not required.

 

Hatch lines is where the block (flange) is removed

90 deg hook removal is not hard you can use a hacksaw and a file or hand grinder.  Removing WK2 flange is a little bit harder but can be done with a hacksaw or hand grinder. After this retrofit you will notice the connection is neater and easier to secure and detach (banjo bolt) as necessary.

If you ever have to revert back to OE floating calipers, it will be just like WK2 (as retrofitted) w/o the hook and it will function just as well w/o any concern of losing this engagement flange which is redundant and NOT needed based on our experience.

Installation Note:

 

Fixed pistons caliper requires more space on outboard than OE floating calipers but it should fit Stock 20" or larger wheels w/o issue or you may need to add wheel spacers as needed.

 

Rotors are made for a direct bolt-on installation to Explorer spindle.

Jeep SRT8 WK2 6-pot calipers are required and are not included in the price which are to be acauired by customer.
