The front big rotor has a wider annulus (76mm) to accommodate the larger (65mm depth) pad (see below) which can substantially increase the overall thermal capacity to lower the braking temperature - A fundamental, direct, and effective solution to overheating on the track (over changing the brake fluid, and installing a cooling kit etc.).
