Product Description
The benefit of a larger pad with a larger pad provides a "Larger Volume" (~25% more than OE) in friction material and can run the braking at lower temperature vs. the smaller pads (OE size), reduce the components wear and replacement (rotor, pad, brake fluid, caliper rebuild) and minimize maintenance downtime.
Why 65mm? For modern high horsepower & heavy cars, the minimum pad depth we have seen is 65mm (up to 90mm).
A larger pad can improve the system performance, components durability, and inspire drivers confidence on tracks.
Illustration of a larger rotor with 390mm OD to accommodate a larger pad requires a wider annulus with an ID of 258mm.
If the rotor OD is
- 390mm (the min. ID 258mm)
- 400mm (the min. ID 268mm)
- 410mm (the min. ID 278mm)
Installation Note:
It's buyer's responsibility to check their rotor compatibility before ordering to avoid pad overhang at the bottom which can produce undesirable result and/or premature brake failure.
