Weight saving table:

-
- Rotor kit is exclusively developed for upgrading from OE iron rotors.
- Rotors fit under OE calipers w/o modifications.
- Requiring modifications on rear dust shields for ZR1 rear discs.
- Upgrade the rear rotor to RB discs (thin flange) to avoid rear dust shield trimming - Available at option.
- Front & rear rotors are built with GM Camaro Z28/C7 ZR1 rear discs, so replacement discs are easily available.
- Rear rotor hats are made of aluminum shell with iron ring insert so they are 100% compatible with OE emergency brake unlike other aftermarket only make the "aluminum hat to fit" the brake shoes these rotor hat will be severely scored/damaged if you forget to release the parking brakes.

RB rear light weight rotor hat (drum brake compatible):
GM OE rotor hat weight (drum brake compatible): - Same as to make GTR rear rotor compatible.
I recently got a set from Boost Logic. https://www.boostlog...mic-brake-hats/($999)
I found the best price on the ZR1 front rotors at Rockauto. http://www.rockauto....1120,rotor,1896 ($1260x2)
The best price I found on the rears was ZZPerformance. https://zzperformanc...-rJfoVI_ovRTgtA ($1500x2)
I grabbed a full set of Pagid pads from SBD.
Front. https://spdbydesign....-carbon-rotors/($602.55)
Rear. https://spdbydesign....-carbon-rotors/($419.00)
- Total parts cost: $8,540.55
- Must compromise on rear drum brake - hats are made of aluminum and are not emergency brake compatible.
- Labor of disassembly ZR1 rotors
- Modification on front and rear calipers, and the rear dust shields to clear the ZR1 thicker discs
- Labor of assembly on 4 rotors
- 4 suppliers = 4x shipping & handling charges
- Dealing with 4x different parts suppliers (Warranty?)
Installation Note:
The rear rotor installation requires trimming the dust shield as shown below in order to clear the rotor mounting tabs (ID=217.5mm).
Remove the hatched area.
Reduced to approx. 214mm OD (Test fit as you trim to make sure free rotor spinning w/o interference)
Alternatively: You can select the option of RB discs which are made with thinner mounting tabs that can eliminate trimming the dust shield. With this option your front rotors will also be upgraded to RB's continuous carbon fiber for a matching rotor kit.
